This is our largest mug of all, with an satisfying 600ml capacity.
The Woodsman or 'Belly' Mug is the most recognisable Polish Pottery shape, a longtime favourite of artists and craftspeople with its rounded, tactile shape and great heat retention. These mugs are also wonderfully robust - made from premium quality stoneware, these mugs can be in and out of the dishwasher on a daily basis with no cracking or dulling of the glaze.
** This is a UNIKAT product. Unikat designs (unikat means 'unique' in Polish) are a longstanding tradition in Boleslawiec Pottery: they are the ceramic artists' signature patterns, typically more complex, and on which more time is spent. **
The Honeysuckle pattern is Ewa(Ceramika Arkadia founder and designer)'s personal favourite design thanks to the lightness and luminance of the blues, achieved by her own pioneering technique of blended glazes.
These mugs are great to build up into a collection - you can find more hand-decorated designs in this shape and size in our webshop, with new patterns appearing a couple of times every year.

About The Maker
Every mug, jug or plate with the Ceramika Arkadia stamp has been decorated by hand by founder Ewa Labecka herself.
Ewa's joyful, vibrant patterns balance the traditional deep blues of Polish Pottery with delicate floral tones and she has a waiting list of customers hailing from all over the world. Her work is available in the UK exclusively via Artisan Homeware.
Although Arkadia is still a new company, Ewa has put in the work to ensure her creations meet the exacting standards required by the Boleslawiec Potters Guild: only members of the guild can officially be classed as producers of 'Boleslawiec Stoneware'.....
